Research showing that the cumulative impact of sitting all day for years is associated with a range of health problems, from obesity to diabetes to cancer.
The average office worker spends 5 hours and 41 minutes sitting each day at their desk, some describe the problem as “sitting is the new smoking”, maybe over exaggerated but demonstrates its now recognised as a significant health impact.
When standing it is easier to release restless energy. Combine that with good circulation, stable blood sugar and an active metabolism and it is easier to focus on the task at hand as well as increased motivational inspiration.
Flexibility is not just limited to the height adjustment, but the shape, size and finish options and as well the desk operation itself.
Desk movement is common in HA single desks and the frequent “collision” of single desks is problematic as well as unsightly when not maintained, the shared frame bench fystem stabilizes desk movement as well as controls cable management and helps reduce product cost making this desk durable, maintenance free, efficient and aesthetically consistent and safer to use when employed in volume.
Example: A bank of 8 desks could have X 4 static and X 4 sit stand in any arrangement. Team change with different requirements? Simply swap actuators with Static Legs, no problem, all components are interchangeable, increase or decrease volumes as required.
The beauty of FlexiSpace is the system can be purchased as completely static (cheapest option) and then upgrade the components at a later date as required, you don’t have to commit to every position as adjustable on day one, just purchase the actuators and control switch as required to upgrade, this reduces initial cost, wastage, time and labour in making the change progressively.
FlexiSpace electric actuators are fitted with PIEZOT M as standard. PIEZO TM is a hardware-based collision detection solution from LINAK. The solution is based on a PIEZO TM sensor that has been completely integrated in the lifting column – without visually altering the desk design. The built-in PIEZO TM sensor reacts to any obstruction when raising or lowering the desk, halts and reverses at the point of collision. As well as avoiding injury it preserves for furniture asset investment, much of the cheaper motor driven systems cannot employ such measures, sadly this is not a regulatory requirement or common practice, a pair of actuators that are capable of lifting 180Kgs this is a standard expectation on our systems.

Visually distinctive with the Square 80mm Tube End Leg and “A” Leg and optional End Leg infill panels that can be sign written, coloured, laser etched/ cut and illuminated to suit your designs for your desired effect, and if that still doesn’t fullfill your requirements please talk to us to see how we can make this work!

Sliding worktops – allows full access to the very deep horizontal cable management, it can also be removed without tools exposing complete access to the entire frame system.

Desk screens (optional) – are a solid fix, so sturdy when using the tool rail system that monitor arms, paper and pen trays can be mounted to them without compromise to the stability, the screens remain very rigid and again fitted via slotted frame system and no tools required.

Overhead mounted storage (optional) – negates the need for pedestals and helps maintain significant cost savings.

Cable management – horizontal cable management throughout the entre bench securely mounted with the need for tools, horizontal cable management through intermediate legs ensure cabling remains invisible and keeps clear space throughout under the desk allowing free cleaning access and maximising space.

Frame assembly only requires two sizes hex keys to assemble with simple fixings and quick assembly, due to the quick access design fixings are simply loosened allowing sectional split of desk bank for quick reconfiguration changes.

Strength – just need to move a whole bank quickly? This frame is so strong simply place a “slider” under each foot and the entire bank can be moved without dismantling whatsoever, move up to a 14 bank without dismantling a single component (space in your office is limitation of this task not the desk!).
